What advice would you give to women in traditional male industries?
My mother truly inspired me to be the woman I am today. She ran our family trash collection business from 1955-1974, all while raising 6 children. My strength and business savvy comes from her. I started working at Tevis in 1985, and after 35 years, it’s estimated that I have helped over 50,000 people with their heating needs!
My advice to all women is to persevere. Do not give up, work hard, and keep pushing forward. When obstacles arise, face them with honesty; then get to work overcoming them. Every day is a new beginning, and at the end of the day, knowing I’ve done my best is how I measure my success.
