What is your definition of success?
As a mother of two beautiful daughters I have talked to them often about the definition of success. Traditionally we have been taught that success is measured by the degree you hold, your position at work, how much money you make or the amount of vacations you take each year.
When asked “What do you do” we tend to spout these things off like they define who you are. It is exhausting to feel like you are in competition with everyone else all the time. Social media makes us believe that everyone else is doing more, making more, experiencing more.
To me the definition of success is about learning who you are, living with purpose, loving what you do and sharing that love. Success should be measured not by achievement but by presence. Success isn’t defined by titles or achievements — it’s about living a life that feels aligned and meaningful.
I find joy in the simple things: being outside, walking in nature, caring for my animals, and spending quality time with my husband and daughters. I value solitude as much as I cherish connection, and a strong cup of coffee never fails to lift my spirits.
I believe in love, in peace, and in showing up for others with compassion. While I’m still on the journey of fully understanding my purpose, I trust in God’s goodness and in the belief that we are enough just as we are. Helping others feel better, guiding them toward their truth, and living with gratitude — that, to me, is success.
