Truman Wayne Barnes, 86, of Taylorsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2026, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Taylorsville, he was the son of the late Truman R. and Virgie Barnes and the devoted husband of Ellen “Sis” Barnes for 63 years. Truman served in the Army Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis and worked as a lineman before a 30-year career with BGE. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and watching sports with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was predeceased by his sisters and granddaughter Kristen Schatz.
