Wayne A. Smith, 67, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on August 1, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 27, 1957, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Annamae (Rice) Luther and the late Elwood A. Smith. A 1975 graduate of Catoctin High School, Wayne owned and operated Wayne Smith’s Painting Company. He enjoyed simple pleasures—fishing, NASCAR, beer, and spending Sundays visiting loved ones. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and Kim, four grandchildren, and three sisters. He was predeceased by his sister Donna Phillips. Wayne was especially proud of his granddaughters.
