Wayne Arrington, 86, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2026. Born October 15, 1939, to the late Thomas Franklin and Ruth Mary Arrington, he was the loving husband of Susan C. (Paul) Arrington for 35 years. A lifelong Sykesville resident and 1957 graduate of Sykesville High School, Wayne held multiple careers as a lineman, nurse, Maryland State Police graduate, toll worker, and Verizon employee, while volunteering as a life member of the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, son, sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Wayne will be remembered for his stories, humor, and deep love of family.
