The Carroll Technology & Innovation Council’s annual golf tournament isn’t just a day on the course—it’s a chance to play for a purpose. On May 16, sponsors and participants gathered at Oakmont Green Public Golf Course for a day of friendly competition, food and prizes, all in support of the council’s mission to expand technology access, build workforce opportunities, and strengthen local businesses and communities.
This year’s proceeds will help launch the Carroll Technology and Innovation Lab. The council is transforming its office into a hands-on learning center, equipped with assistive technologies
and job-relevant platforms. Each week, CTIC works with dozens of students, offering fraud prevention training and digital skills certification.
Participants and sponsors also had the opportunity to leave their mark on the Future-Ready Founders Board, a special display recognizing collective support. The board, signed during the
tournament, will be permanently displayed in the new lab—a testament to the community’s role in shaping the future of technology and workforce development. – photography by Nikola Tzenov
