In a celebration of academic achievement and community commitment, Carroll Hospital Foundation awarded over $16,000 in scholarships to deserving local students during a special reception held June 30 in the Shauck Auditorium at Carroll Hospital.

The scholarships, funded by generous supporters of the hospital, aim to help students further their education in various academic disciplines. The ceremony highlighted the hospital’s ongoing dedication to supporting both its employees and the broader community through educational initiatives.

“We congratulate our 2025 scholarship recipients and applaud their commitment to creating positive change in their communities,” said Brenda Frazier, vice president of development at Carroll Hospital and Scholarship Program Chair. “It is an honor to be able to assist these students in furthering their education.”

The College Scholarship Fund for Dependents of Team Members is an award given to a student whose parent has been employed full-time by Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife for at least three years. The student must be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university.

The Virginia Minnick Auxiliary Scholarship is awarded to a junior volunteer or the college-bound child or grandchild of a current employee or volunteer affiliated with Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife. This scholarship also requires acceptance into a four-year accredited institution.

The Libman Nursing Scholarship is awarded to eligible students, living in Carroll County, who are seeking a registered nursing degree at Carroll Community College. In addition to supporting dependents and volunteers, Carroll Hospital also recognizes the hard work of its own employees through the Harold Glen and Audrey G. Benson Trumpower Employee Education Fund and the Team Member Scholarship created by Physicians of Indian Origin.

The Trumpower Employee Education Fund was created to assist current employees of Carroll Hospital and BridgingLife in attending professional conferences, advanced training and education programs. The Team Member Scholarship is designated for current employees of Carroll Hospital and BridgingLife pursuing higher education at an accredited college or university or working toward a certification in their existing field.

Students who were awarded the 2025 Carroll Hospital Foundation Scholarships:
