William Robert “Bill” Douglass, 84, of Weddington, NC, formerly of Granite, MD, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. Born February 23, 1941, Bill served in the U.S. Army and worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for CSX Railroad. He married Patricia, his beloved wife of 61 years, and raised two daughters while farming and living a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. A devout Catholic, outdoorsman, skilled craftsman, and golf enthusiast, Bill was admired for his resourcefulness, humility, and generosity. He is survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, and many who cherished his steady, kind spirit.
