The Carroll County Independence Project (CCVIP) is stirring up support for local veterans and their families with a flavorful twist. On Sunday, November 2, CCVIP will host its much-anticipated SOS (Support Our Services) fundraising event—a unique culinary celebration designed to unite the Carroll County community around food, fellowship, and a shared mission.
Held at the Masonic Lodge in Westminster, SOS promises a one-of-a-kind “mess hall”-style dining experience inspired by military tradition. Guests will enjoy communal tables, military-themed décor, and an impressive lineup of signature dishes from some of Carroll County’s most beloved restaurants.
With three seating times available, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm, attendees will have ample opportunity to sample exclusive tasting stations, mingle with other guests, and learn more about the life-changing work CCVIP does for veterans and their families.
“This event is about more than great food—it’s about honoring service, celebrating community, and sustaining the programs that help our neighbors live with dignity and independence,” said Jason Seidock, Executive Director of CCVIP.
The proceeds from SOS go directly toward funding CCVIP’s vital programs, which empower veterans and their families to live independently and thrive in the community. From housing support to employment assistance and adaptive technology, CCVIP’s services are a lifeline to those who have served.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet CCVIP participants and hear firsthand how community support has impacted their lives.
Whether you’re a foodie, a veteran advocate, or someone who simply believes in supporting a good cause, SOS offers a chance to make a meaningful difference—one bite at a time. For sponsorship opportunities, rsvp, and find more information about the visit ccvip.vet. Come hungry and leave inspired.
