John Russell Farrell, 71, of Eldersburg, MD, passed away peacefully at home. Born January 18, 1954, in Hagerstown to the late John William Farrell Jr. and Jean Kathryn Jones, John graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1972 and attended community college. He served in the Merchant Marines and later worked for Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates for many years. A devoted fitness enthusiast and passionate Baltimore Ravens fan, John lived a healthy, active life. He was predeceased by his sister Joyce McGee and brother-in-law Michael Lorfing. He is survived by sisters Mary Lorfing and Barbara Peach (James), brother-in-law Jack McGee, and six beloved nieces and nephews.
