Documentary Film Series
A Documentary Film Series Subscription offers discounted access to all four films in the Foreign Film Festival when purchased on or before January 9, 2025. Subscribers may select either the full 1:00 PM set—all of which will be captioned—or the full 7:30 PM set, with no mixing of showtimes. Priced at $35 for adults and $26.75 for ages 60 and over, the package features a compelling lineup beginning January 9, 2026 with What in the Hell Happened to Blood, Sweat, and Tears? (2024, 1h 52m, Rated R).
The series continues January 16 with Unseen (2023, 1h 25m, Rated 16+), the story of Pedro, an aspiring social worker navigating the challenges of being blind and undocumented while pursuing his college degree. On January 23, audiences will experience The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Own (2014, 1h 29m, NR), a gripping look at the notoriously punishing Tennessee endurance race that saw only ten finishers in its first 25 years.
The series concludes January 30 with California Typewriter (2016, 1h 44m, Rated PG), a portrait of artists, writers, and collectors—including Tom Hanks, John Mayer, David McCullough, and Sam Shepard—who remain devoted to the typewriter as both tool and muse. Full-series subscription rates remain $35 for adults and $26.75 for ages 60+ and 18 & under, offering a month of rich and thought-provoking documentary storytelling.
