Dr. Kelly Koermer, Carroll Community College’s vice president of workforce, business, and community education, has graduated from Leadership Maryland’s Executive Program, joining an elite network of more than 1,600 leaders across the state.

Koermer, a Westminster resident, was recognized alongside the Class of 2025 during Leadership Maryland’s 32nd graduation ceremony on December 2 at the Westin Annapolis. She was one of just 51 participants selected for the eight-month program, which immerses senior-level professionals in key issues shaping Maryland’s future.

“Her achievement reflects the caliber of leadership we cultivate at Carroll,” said Dr. Rosalie Mince, president of Carroll Community College. “This milestone not only honors Kelly’s dedication but also elevates our institution’s visibility and impact across the state.”

The Executive Program included an opening orientation, a closing retreat, and five two-day sessions held across Maryland’s major geographic regions. Participants examined economic development, education, health and human services, criminal justice, environmental concerns, and multiculturalism/diversity, hearing from more than 100 experts in government, business, education, and nonprofit leadership.

Leadership Maryland President and CEO David Fike said the 2025 graduates have shown “an unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth,” adding that he is confident they will continue to drive meaningful change statewide.

The Executive Program is designed for senior leaders with significant professional or community accomplishments and a commitment to addressing Maryland’s most pressing issues.
