Daniel “Dan” Nick Caputo, 93, passed away December 26, 2025, at Sinai Hospital. Born January 7, 1932, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Nicholas Caputo and Lucy Spinnazzola and was predeceased by his three sisters. A self-taught computer programmer and electrical engineer, Dan served in the Army during the Korean War as a technical specialist, earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and worked for Westinghouse and WJZ-TV. He was the devoted husband of the late Nancy Lee Caputo and father of Janet, Marcy, and the late James Caputo. He is survived by his daughters, nieces, cat, and many friends.
