George Glenn “Joe” Smith, Jr., 61, passed away peacefully on May 21 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by family. Born March 26, 1964, to the late George G. Smith, Sr. and Edna L. Smith, Joe was known for his kind heart, generosity, and love for family and friends. A Westminster High School graduate and former Health Care Technician, he enjoyed traveling, cooking, fishing, poetry, chess, sports, and cheering for the Steelers. Joe is survived by his wife Elaine, siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many lifelong friends who will deeply miss him.
