Royle Brian “Bear” Kidwell, 68, passed away on July 15, 2026. Born Dec. 7, 1957, he was the son of the late Richard and Maureen Kidwell. A printer by trade for more than 40 years, Kidwell had a lifelong interest in history, particularly the Civil War era, and enjoyed photography. He also earned multiple degrees from Montgomery College. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kevin Kidwell. He is survived by his brother, Rick Kidwell; sisters Julia Engle and Karen Beck; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, who affectionately knew him as “Bear.”
