Alvin Lounds Burns, 83, of Wellsville, Pa., passed away at home on July 29, 2026. Born in Charleston, W.Va., he was the son of the late Burke Burns and Letha “Dorothy” Ritchie Burns. An elevator mechanic by trade, Alvin enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, home remodeling, western films, and tending to flowers. Above all, he treasured his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Linda Sue Burns, two sons, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his sister, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
