Melvin “Mel” DeWitt Bair, Jr., 81, of Westminster, passed away on August 5, 2026, at Autumn Lake at Longview. Born September 15, 1944, he was the son of the late Margaret Louise Haines Bair and the loving husband of Norma J. Hann Bair, his high school sweetheart, for 61 years. A 1962 graduate of Westminster High School, Mel worked for 46 years as a postal clerk at the Westminster Post Office. He enjoyed softball, motorcycle rides, cards, racquetball, golf, bowling, and cheering for the Orioles and Ravens. He also cherished time at Hershey Park and watching airplanes with his nephew. He is survived by his wife, daughter, two brothers, nieces, nephews, and six great-nieces and nephews.
