Galen C. Buckingham, 73, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away August 29, 2026, at Lorien of Taneytown. Born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, he was a 1970 graduate of South Carroll High School and worked in construction for various contractors. Galen was a Life Member of the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, dining out, gambling and spending time with his great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Bowman Buckingham, and his parents. Galen is survived by his siblings, extended family, stepson Anthony Bowman, and many loving relatives and friends. The family expressed appreciation to the staff at Lorien of Taneytown for their compassionate care.
