What advice would you give women looking to grow a business or within a company?
Take ownership of your role while understanding the bigger picture. Step outside your comfort zone, ask questions, and take on new challenges. Never stop learning, and surround yourself with people who help you grow.
What qualities are essential for women in leadership?
Confidence, accountability, adaptability, and communication. Strong leaders make difficult decisions while remaining willing to listen. Leadership is also about building trust, setting expectations, following through, and holding yourself to the standards you expect from others.
What is your definition of success?
Success is building something sustainable that creates opportunities for others. It’s seeing employees become leaders, building a team that takes pride in its work, creating lasting client relationships, and continuing to improve.
What do you love most about working in the landscape industry?
I love that our work has a tangible impact. We create spaces where families gather,
businesses thrive, and communities feel cared for. I also value the creativity, craftsmanship, and teamwork behind every project.
What do you love most about doing business in Carroll County?
I love the sense of community and emphasis on relationships. Many of our relationships here extend beyond a single project through referrals, repeat clients, and community involvement. Growing while staying connected to the communities we serve is something I truly value.
