Dr. Allison Green joined Mt. Airy Children’s Dental Associates in 2009. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of North Carolina at Asheville. She received her dental degree, with honors from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 2007, and completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry in 2009 at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Green is a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
What do you most love about your profession?
I love meeting new people every day and playing a part in their lives. My profession means so much to me: being a positive influence in the lives and health of so many different children, and learning from them in return, makes me look forward to practicing pediatric dentistry. I truly love explaining the importance of prevention to parents and children and empowering kids to keep their teeth healthy. I have a passion for working with children and young adults, including those with special needs, and believe in educating patients and their families about the importance of oral health and its link to systemic health.
