Carroll Community College will host its fourth annual Family Fun Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, on its campus at 1601 Washington Road. The free, outdoor event is open to the public and will feature a wide range of family-friendly activities.

Attendees can enjoy inflatables, drone simulations, face painting, tie-dye T-shirt stations, sidewalk chalk art, a circus performance and a scavenger hunt, along with other interactive attractions. Children will also have opportunities to explore emergency vehicles, watch bomb detection and K-9 patrol demonstrations, meet local deputies and firefighters, and learn fire safety tips.

In partnership with Penguin Random House and the Carroll County Public Library, the event will include story times featuring popular characters, as well as free books for readers of all ages. Families can meet “Esteban the Magnificent,” a character from books by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers, and explore a storybook trail based on The Berenstain Bears Go to Camp by Stan Berenstain and Jan Berenstain.

“All proceeds from the Family Fun Fest support scholarships for Kids@Carroll and Teen College, as well as the Carroll Food Locker, programs that make a real difference in our community,” said Caitlin Christ, executive director of institutional advancement and the college foundation.

College President Rose Mince said visitors are encouraged to learn more about the school’s academic offerings, including programs in welding, automotive technology, nursing and early childhood education.

More information about the event is available on the college’s website.
