Christopher Franklin Barritt, 72, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2026, just months after the passing of his beloved wife of 53 years, Eleonore. Born on September 22, 1953, he was the son of Clay and Maxine Barritt. Chris enjoyed a remarkable career as a mechanic with Mercedes-Benz and was known for his craftsmanship, curiosity and ability to fix anything. He loved motorcycles, cycling, and served his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Mt. Airy Fire Department. A dedicated cyclist and competitor, he treasured friendships made along the way. He will be remembered for his generosity, perseverance and love for family.
