Ella Mae (Earp) Shirk passed away August 31, 2026, following a brief stay at Autumn Lake at Glade Valley in Walkersville. She was the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Ella Virginia Earp and the wife of the late William Orlando Shirk Sr. Ella is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ann Long (Richard), with whom she lived for three years, as well as nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. She was predeceased by two sons, two daughters, three brothers and three sisters. Ella loved her family dearly and was grateful to those who provided care and compassion during her final days.
