Tradition Arts Day & 22nd Year Anniversary Taneytown History Museum

The Taneytown History Museum will celebrate its 22nd anniversary with Tradition Arts Day, featuring demonstrations of historic crafts and activities for visitors of all ages. The event will highlight traditional skills including chair caning, glass bead making, rope making, fiber work, woodturning and tinsmithing. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the museum’s 2026 exhibit, “We the People 250+ 1754-2026.”

Tradition Arts Day will offer free admission, a scavenger hunt for all ages and handicap-accessible accommodations. Parking will be available behind the museum. Visitors can enjoy free hot dogs, chips and drinks from 1 to 3 p.m. as part of the anniversary celebration.
