George Charles Moriatis, 81, of Fairhaven in Sykesville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born July 16, 1944, in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Louis Nicholas and Margaret Agnes Moriatis. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Marie Moriatis for more than 57 years and a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served from 1962 to 1966 before beginning a long career as a Systems Engineer with the Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin. A man of deep Catholic faith, he was active at St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golf, yardwork, and family time.
