Gregory Scott Hutsell of Westminster died unexpectedly May 30 at Carroll Hospital. He was born and raised in Westminster and lived there his entire life. A standout pole vaulter at Westminster High School, he set a school record and earned a Bucknell scholarship. He later worked as an Instructional Assistant in the BEST program and found deep fulfillment there. His love of cooking began on his grandmother’s farm in Mt. Airy, leading to a culinary career and teaching cooking classes at Carroll Community College for over ten years. A Renaissance man he was a poet and cookbook author who loved travel
