Who inspires you?
Successful entrepreneurs! Business ownership is challenging. I learn and am inspired by others who have achieved success, who have learned from failure, and who share knowledge.
What do you love most about doing business in Carroll County?
I love the opportunity to give back to the community in which I live and where I have raised my family for the past 20 years. I believe the more one gives, the more one receives. Carroll County is a small, extremely supportive community and I’m grateful.
What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is in the achievement of a quality of life (good health and happiness) and financial freedom.
What advice would you give to women starting their own business?
1) Work hard, persevere, and never stop learning. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint at heart. 2) Know thy numbers. If not, you won’t know the health of your business. If you depend on your PNL end of each year, it’s too late. 3) Surround yourself with others who inspire and that you can learn from. 4) Find passion in building a business that serves others, and that offers rewarding employment. 5) We learn most from failure, not from success.
What qualities do you think a successful entrepreneur should have?
Strong character, perseverance, and a passion to serve.
