James “Jim” Daniel Carlock, 78, of Mount Airy, MD, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2025. Born March 10, 1947, in Chattanooga, TN, to Mildred and George Carlock, he was a proud U.S. Marine and Vietnam veteran. After earning his electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a master’s from Loyola University, he enjoyed a 45-year career with Northrop Grumman. Jim loved baseball, traveling, puzzles, and science fiction. Above all, he cherished being a devoted father to his daughter, Stephanie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, and brothers Ronnie and Richard, and is survived by loving family and friends.
