James “Jim” Lloyd Umbel, 85, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2026. Born April 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Helen (Eyler) Umbel and the loving husband of Jean Louise Umbel for 62 years. Jim worked for more than 30 years as a mechanic’s assistant at B & D Truck Hoist, Inc. in Westminster. Known for his quiet nature and generous heart, he was always willing to help others. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his shed while listening to music, and detailing cars. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
