James Robert Ellis, Jr., 70, of Taneytown, MD, passed away at home on August 11, 2025, after a long illness. Born February 2, 1955, he was the son of the late James R. Ellis, Sr., and Edna L. Ellis. Jim dedicated over 30 years as a volunteer firefighter in Charles County, MD. He had a deep love for cars and especially enjoyed attending car shows with his cherished Mustang Cobra. He is survived by his devoted companion Jo-Ann Cyr, their cat Nitro, and his siblings Helen Faunce, John Ellis, Beverly Copsey, and Steven Ellis. Jim will be deeply missed.
