Loretta Marie Widerman, 80, of Mt. Airy, formerly of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Born July 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Freddie and Catherine Harrison and the beloved wife of the late Paul R. Widerman. A 1963 Mt. Airy High School graduate, Loretta remained deeply involved in alumni activities. She retired in 2011 after 37 years as a dedicated teacher’s aide at Carrolltowne Elementary. Loretta loved supporting her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, traveling, and nurturing lifelong friendships. She was a devoted St. Joseph Catholic Church parishioner and will be remembered for her warmth, service, and deep community ties.
