Movement Effective Therapy will celebrate National Pilates Day on Saturday, May 2, with an open house and ribbon-cutting event at its Finksburg location, inviting the community to explore its integrated approach to movement, recovery and wellness.
The event offers visitors an opportunity to tour the studio, meet staff and learn about the practice’s personalized Pilates programs, which combine Pilates instruction with chiropractic care and physical therapy.
Movement Effective Therapy, known as The MET, is led by Dr. Joshua Levin, a chiropractor, and Laise Levin, a Balanced Body comprehensive certified Pilates instructor with a background in biomechanics and rehabilitation. The practice focuses on individualized care for clients of varying ages and abilities, including those recovering from injury, managing chronic pain or seeking alternatives to traditional fitness environments.
“Pilates at The MET is about meeting people where they are,” Laise Levin said. “Whether someone is post-injury, dealing with back pain, or simply not comfortable in a large group class setting, we’re able to tailor every session to their body and their needs.”
As part of the event, attendees can learn about a new client introductory offer of three sessions for $150, designed to introduce participants to one-on-one or small-group Pilates training.
The studio serves clients in Finksburg and nearby Westminster and aims to provide a more personalized and therapeutic approach to fitness and recovery.
The open house is free and open to the public.
