Sister Dorothy Ann Pyle, age 89, died on August 8, 2025, at Villa St. Michael in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Born in Baltimore in 1936, she entered the Daughters of Charity in 1956. A graduate of St. Joseph College and Fordham University, she dedicated her life to education and social work. Sister Dorothy served in numerous ministries across the East Coast, including founding the CARE Clinic in Fayetteville, NC. After returning to religious life, she continued serving communities until retiring to a ministry of prayer in 2010. She is remembered for her deep compassion, leadership, and lifelong commitment to serving others.
