WESTMINSTER, Md. — The Carroll Media Center has released an extensive digital video forum featuring more than 35 local candidates ahead of the primary and general elections this month. For your convenience, you can view the entire library here in Carroll.News.
The project, filmed at the center’s headquarters in Westminster, aims to provide voters with a comprehensive look at the individuals running for a wide range of offices in 2026. The collection includes interviews and statements from both Democratic and Republican candidates vying for positions as state delegates, county commissioners, sheriff, and register of wills, among others.
Organizers said the initiative is designed to increase transparency and accessibility for the local electorate by centralizing candidate information in a single video library.
“It has been a tremendous amount of work assembling these videos, but we’re so proud to be able to offer this to the community,” said Sherry Taylor of the Carroll Media Center.
The center, which operates with a mission to provide rich local content, has allowed community partners to utilize the library to ensure voters can gauge the personalities and platforms of those running for office. Each video is categorized by political designation, allowing users to navigate the various races impacting Carroll County.
The exhaustive recording process involved filming dozens of candidates over several weeks to ensure all participants had an equal opportunity to address the public.
The video forum is now available through the Carroll Media Center’s online registry. Residents are encouraged to view the footage to gain a better sense of the candidates’ priorities before heading to the polls. Click here to see the media center’s voters guide.
