Helen “Tilly” Reaver of Emmitsburg, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, surrounded by her family. A lifelong Catholic and devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Shrine, she dedicated much of her life to her faith, family and community. Helen worked at Mount St. Mary’s, the Provincial House, the Emmitsburg Town Office and Emmitsburg Glass Company. She treasured time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially during annual family gatherings. Helen was known for her generosity, love of gardening and sewing, and willingness to help others. She is survived by nine children, 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and numerous siblings, relatives and friends.
