Franklin Victor Saunders, 87, of Westminster, passed away on May 23, 2026, at Autumn Lake at Long View. Born April 27, 1939, in Hancock, Maryland, he was the son of the late Sarah and Charlie Saunders and the devoted husband of the late Karen Saunders. Before retiring, Franklin worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Springfield State Hospital and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 200 and Moose Lodge No. 1381. Franklin is survived by his children, grandchildren, sister, and companion June Montour. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas and siblings Sarah Frock and Melton “Tuby” Saunders, Jr.
