Members of Carroll County’s Class of 2026 were recognized for their accomplishments and future potential during graduation ceremonies held across the county in recent weeks.
Carroll County Commissioner Tom Gordon III attended commencement exercises at Carroll Community College, Winters Mill High School, Westminster High School, Gerstell Academy and the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Training Program, joining families, educators and community leaders in celebrating graduates’ achievements.
“Each graduation represents far more than receiving a diploma or certificate,” Gordon said. “It reflects years of dedication, perseverance, personal growth, and the unwavering support of families, teachers, mentors, and friends who helped make these achievements possible.”

Gordon said the ceremonies highlighted the promise of Carroll County’s next generation, noting that graduates will go on to serve in a variety of roles throughout their communities and beyond.
“Our graduates will become the leaders, innovators, first responders, educators, entrepreneurs, and public servants who will shape the future of our county, our state, and our nation,” Gordon said. “Their talent and determination give us every reason to be optimistic about what lies ahead.”
As graduates begin the next chapter of their lives, Gordon encouraged them to continue pursuing their goals while remaining committed to service and lifelong learning.
“Be proud of everything you have accomplished, but remain excited for what is yet to come,” Gordon said.
“Continue to dream big, work hard, serve others, and never stop learning. Your journey is just beginning, and the possibilities before you are limitless.” Gordon extended his congratulations to all members of the Class of 2026 and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
