Mildred Lillian Engel McDermott, lovingly known as Mom Mom, Millie, and Geemy, passed away peacefully at her Eldersburg home on April 27, 2026, at age 97. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Jenny Engel and wife of the late Joseph Leroy McDermott Sr. Mildred was known for her creativity, award-winning bowling, quilting, cooking, and devotion to family. She cherished trips to Ocean City, traveling with friends, birdwatching, and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loved ones who will miss her dearly.
