Sammie J. Shifflett, 71, of Sykesville, MD, passed away on May 4, 2026, at BridgingLife’s Dove House in Westminster. Born December 12, 1954, he was the son of the late Samuel Edward Shifflett and Mary Lou Emma (Campbell) Shifflett and was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah E. Shifflett, and siblings Roger Lee Shifflett, Earman Shifflett, and Charlene Gillis. Sammie retired after a career in a recycling warehouse and was known for his hard work and kind spirit. He enjoyed antiques, Civil War history, gardening, flowers, and music, especially Billy Strings. He is survived by his daughters, grandson, brothers, and extended family.
