Samuel Bernard Cool, 82, of Emmitsburg, passed away April 27, 2026 at Mercy House in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He was son of the late Samuel F. and Margaret (Morrison) Cool and was preceded in death by wife of 54 years, Catherine G. (Althoff) Cool. He is survived by sons Bernard S. Cool and Brian S. Cool, granddaughter Ashley N. Cool, great-grandchildren Neo and Zoey, siblings and in-laws. Sam was a dedicated volunteer firefighter and life member of Vigilant Hose Company and Fairfield Fire Company. He was inducted into Adams County Fire Police Hall of Fame and enjoyed supporting fire service events.
