Sister Clare Marie (Loretta Clare) Angermaier, Daughters of Charity, age 92, died May 7, 2026 at Villa St. Michael in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Born July 30, 1933 in Baltimore, she was one of ten children and a graduate of Seton High School. She entered the Daughters of Charity in 1953 and earned degrees from St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg and Boston College. Her ministry spanned decades in Catholic education and leadership, serving as teacher, principal, assistant principal, and later in mission integration roles in hospitals and community leadership. She returned to Emmitsburg in retirement for prayer ministry until her death, remembered for faithful service.
