Steven Lee Smith, 50, of Eldersburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 28, 2026. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the beloved husband of Janice Lyn Smith and proud father of daughters Melina Rae and Madelyn Elyse. Steve served as a military police officer in the U.S. Marine Corps before pursuing a career in law enforcement and later becoming a CDL commercial truck driver, a job he especially enjoyed. Known for his adventurous spirit, infectious smile and ability to make friends easily, Steve loved spending time with his wife, daughters, family and friends. His hobbies included scuba diving and remote-controlled cars.
