Susan Lowry Welch, 72, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away May 6, 2026. Born July 11, 1953 in Owego, New York, she was the daughter of Donaldson and Thelma Lowry. She met her husband John Welch in college in Reading, Pennsylvania, and they shared nearly 50 years of marriage in Maryland. Sue was a devoted Christian, educator, and early childhood administrator known for her patience and care for children and families. She is survived by her husband, daughters Emily Chwang and Laura Billings, six grandchildren, her sister Linda Knudson, and extended family and friends. She cherished faith, family, and community.
