William “Bill” Alexander McDougall Jr., 59, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 3, 2026, at WellSpan York Hospital. Born in Maryland on June 23, 1966, he was the son of William Alexander McDougall Sr. and the late Ruth Anne Cannon McDougall. Bill worked as both a hotel clerk and boat captain and was known for his love of nature, hiking, stargazing, photography, reading, and music. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including spending time outdoors and enjoying a good cup of coffee. He is survived by his father, daughter Abigail Grey McDougall, sister Kathryn Scarbrough, brother-in-law Russell Scarbrough, and girlfriend Michelle Blevins.
