Genevia Laura “Mrs. Jeanie” Meeks, 81, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away on May 2, 2026, at Lorien in Taneytown. Born in Frederick on July 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Rebecca Lambert and wife of the late Lawrence E. Meeks. A 1962 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, she worked at Black & Decker for 21 years and later served as a nanny, caregiver, and family business employee. Genevia loved family, gardening, baking, and community service. She is survived by her grandson, great-grandsons, sister, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
