James David “Jim” Frankton Sr., 83, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2026, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born January 4, 1943, he was the son of William and Iva Frankton. A 1962 graduate of SHS, Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise and USS Springfield. He was the beloved husband of Patsy Frankton for 58 years and a devoted family man who cherished beach vacations and time with loved ones. Jim coached Sykesville Little League for 20 years and retired from Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman after 37 years. He leaves behind a loving family and many cherished memories.
